Instead of celebrating St. Patrick’s Day last Thursday, I was with family and friends enjoying the Top 10 Michigan Business Women Awards with hundreds of others at Laurel Manor in Livonia.

The setting was spectacular. Our Mistress of Ceremonies, Paula Tutman, an Emmy-winning broadcast journalist, kept us laughing through out the night.

I was so honored to be among such accomplished women who are making a difference as woman in business and leadership. (click here for full list and bios)

Nancy Schlichting, CEO of Henry Ford Health Systems, gave an inspirational keynote with a reading from her new book, Unconventional Leadership: What Henry Ford and Detroit Taught Me about Reinvention and Diversity.

I have my copy of Nancy’s book and cannot wait to interview her on Smart Women Talk about her exceptional journey in life and leadership.

We have just reached 1 million subscribers to our Smart Women community and radio show!  This is a big milestone and we are celebrating!

For anyone wanting to start a successful business, you will not want to miss our show with Ken Pape, author of Do-Able Deals:  The art of making money with other people’s money.

Ken is an entrepreneur who took a $40,000 investment and turned it into $40,000,000 in 26 years.  He’ll be sharing his story tomorrow.  I hope you can join us!
